AboutGoodImmunity begins with attention rather than intervention.
GoodImmunity is a one-to-one coaching practice in lifestyle, wellness and movement. Rather than a program, each engagement begins with the individual: their priorities, circumstances, goals and what they want to change or strengthen.
Three elements are considered together — Lifestyle, Wellness and Movement — and weighted differently for each person. Evidence informs the work, but so do context, experience and careful listening. GoodImmunity is coaching; it complements medical care and does not replace it.
What is missing is often a through-line.
Barbara is the founder of GoodImmunity. At the center of her work is a longstanding fascination with the individuality of human lives — the experiences, relationships, environments and choices that shape how we feel, function and stay well over time.
As a doctor, she has always been drawn to the person behind the medical history. Her dedication to child and family health over an entire career reinforced a broader conviction: health is not only something to restore when it is lost, but something to cultivate, protect and sustain throughout life. GoodImmunity grew from that perspective.
A lifelong dancer, Barbara also brings a personal connection to movement that extends beyond exercise. Yoga, dance and other forms of movement can become part of a broader approach to well-being — one that fits the individual rather than asking the individual to fit a prescribed routine.
Drawing on decades of clinical and scientific experience, alongside training in lifestyle and wellness coaching at Harvard and advanced training in health coaching, movement and yoga therapeutics at Stanford, she brings together scientific precision, embodied practice and close attention to the individual.
Her work is particularly suited to thoughtful people who know themselves well and want something more substantial than superficial or trend-driven wellness advice. Through coaching, movement and lifestyle-based work, she helps clients build sustainable ways of caring for their health that are realistic, grounded and deeply personal.
Where would you like to begin?
GoodImmunity works with a limited number of clients at a time. A conversation is where we begin: thirty minutes to explore what brings you here, what you are looking for, and whether our approach is the right fit.
